Frequently Asked Questions

  • How are flowers shipped from the grower?
Our flowers are shipped to us by suppliers via a COLD CHAIN delivery system. We DO NOT ship Fed Ex, UPS or with any other carrier that can not maintain flowers at 34 degrees and 85 humidity. Why is this important? Any fluctuation in temperature during transport can adversely affect delicate flowers resulting in lessened longevity as well as damage and rot. Our goal is to offer you the freshest product available. Your flowers remain at 34 degrees and 85 humidity until the day you pick them up in our studio.
  • Can I make changes to my order?
Your initial order can requires a 50% retainer to reserve the date and order products. You many make edits to your initial order as long as the items you want to add to the order are available. Deletions can be made as long as your order total is equal to or more than your initial retainer amount. ALL changes must be made and balance in full paid, 30 days before your event date. No changes or refunds will be made after 30 days.
  • How do I care for my fresh flowers?
Our product arrives dry-packed from our growers. We hydrate your flowers from their "sleepy" transportation state prior to you picking up your order. We use conditioning products that stimulates the rehydration of flowers after a period of dry transportation which allows for the greatest water uptake and prevents "bent-neck" and wilted leaves. Once your products are picked up from our studio it is important that you properly process the flowers based on the specific care instructions for each variety.
  • How do I pick up my flowers from your studio?
As a general guideline, your flowers will be available for pick up 2 days before your event date. If you would like them sooner we can make special arrangements with notice. On the pick up day, your flowers will be waiting in buckets of conditioned water. Transportation of your flowers from our studio to your processing location should be handled with extreme care and with minimum time in the car. We recommend making your flower pick up the only errand to avoid any lengthy time in the vehicle during extreme heat or cold temperatures to avoid any damage to the delicate flowers. Ideally flowers should be kept in a closed vehicle such as a van or SUV and should not be placed in a trunk or the back of an open air truck. Vehicles should have as much available transport space as possible to avoid crushing or damaging the flower blooms. Once you arrive to your destination, the flowers should be immediately removed from the vehicle and placed in a cool space away from direct sunlight. Please ensure water levels in the buckets as some may spill during transport.

  • Should I keep my flowers if the refrigerator?
Fresh flowers should not be placed in either the refrigerator or the freezer! Refrigerators generally hosts a variety of fruits & vegetables that emit ethylene gases which can shorten the life or even kill your fresh flowers. The Freezer is simply too cold! Florists keep flowers in specific coolers that maintain certain levels of humidity in order to slow the aging process of cut flowers and extent the shelf life to maximize the product use. Generally speaking, cut flowers placed in a clean vase or anywhere with a sufficient water supply can stay alive for 1 to 2 weeks, if taken good care of. Avoid Direct Sunlight, Heat, Drafts and Fruit Making your flower arrangement and bouquets 1-2 days in advance of your event is the ideal timeframe. Your flowers will last longer stored in a room with cool temperatures. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or near appliances that generate heat. A cool, dry basement is a great place, or an air conditioned room with the blinds closed. Avoid crowding the flowers as they do need air flow. Ensure all stems are reaching sufficient water and that no leaves are in the water. Avoid areas like open windows, heating or cooling vents and ceiling fans as they can cause the flowers to quickly dehydrate. Check to ensure water is clean and full each day prior to your event.
  • I'm not sure what quantities I need to order.
Please keep in mind we are a wholesale studio that sells flowers by the bunches designated by the specific variety of flower you are interested in. A bunch is considered a stem count for how the grower groups the flowers together. For example, a 25 stem bunch means that 25 individual stems are bundled together as one bunch. If you order 2 bunches, you will have 50 individual stems. Each flower and greenery item is listed with the typical stem count designated by the grower for that item. If you would like 50 roses, please order 2 bunches.
